Ep.025 – “Burn This Disco Out”

Will "Burn This Disco Out" live up to its nihilistic promises, or will Yaxzon Jackson have to set fire to the disco, the DJ, the record player, the Off The Wall LP, and what's left of YJ Season 2. Who will survive and who will Steam Beat and Rod Blast the ALF Pogs in the Mail Crypt?

If you have any interest in finding out the answers to at least one of those questions, you should listen to our final regular episode of Season 2. Rollie has some Ratings Remorse. James addresses vicious rumors that hates disco. Quincy Jones lays down the law. And then we all bullshit for a half-hour.

We'll back in March (probably) for the big Season 2 video wrap-up, so make sure you stay alive for a while!

Ep.024 – “It's the Falling in Love”

Time travel with Rollie, James, and John Quincy Adams to 1979, the year everyone and their Aunt Dee Dee recorded a version of "It's the Falling in Love." Maybe the trip will help you form an opinion about the penultimate track from Off the Wall. Maybe you'll have a chance to ask Quincy Jones some questions in person (if you remember what the questions are). Maybe you'll end up recording your own version!

Whatever you end up doing, just make sure to come back to 2016 in time for the final episode of YJ Season 2 proper next week. And wear red high-heeled cowboy boots...IF YOU DARE!

Ep.023 - "I Can't Help It"

If Michael can't help it, and Quincy Jones can't help it, and Stevie Wonder can't help it, and Susaye Greene, final member of the Supremes, can't help it, then the Yaxzon Jackson Podcast is going to have to step in and help it...

Once we talk about about a bunch of other stuff first--anniversaries, release dates, and of course, a letter from the coveted mail closet. Don't forget that you can help us help Michael help it by participating in the conversation via the comment section, or on Twitter, by emailing us, or simply by yelling out your windows until we can hear you.

Ep.022 - “She’s Out of My Life”

Yaxzon Jackson would like to slow things down for a minute and give you an episode that sounds like a heartfelt ballad.

*Cues strings*
*Turns lights down*
*?????*
*PROFIT!!!!!!*

Well, OK, this episode isn't a ballad, but there may be an emotional breakdown or two by the end. Lots of rhetorical questions today! Help us answer them, Yaxzon Jacksonites!

Ep.021 – “Girlfriend”

"Hey, what happened to episodes 19 and 20?" you're probably saying. Well, special guest episodes can take a little extra time to cook up, so we decided to skip slightly ahead instead of causing you Yaxzon withdrawals. If you want to be a strict chronologist, you are free to file this episode away in your collection until the others are complete. We won't be mad. A quick spoiler though: there will be no spoilers about tracks 4 or 5 in this episode, so there's no real harm in listening to us talk about this 36 year-old track a few weeks before the other two.

Of course, if it's the future and we went back and reordered the items according to track number, you have no idea what we're going on about. Enjoy the ride!

If you're still with us, this episode will feature time traveling, name dropping, shape shifting, black mailing, and saxophoning. Climb aboard, but watch your step... it's the all-new Yaxzon Jackson Prime Time Podcasting!

One more special note: YJ co-host James Greene, Jr. will be releasing an eBook of personal Star Wars misadventures called Star Wars Ruined My Life really, really soon, in a galaxy right about here. Keep your eyes on his blog for details, otherwise you'll find the info in the HOSTS section of this tumblr when the time comes.

Ep.020 - “Off the Wall”

How off the wall is "Off the Wall" off Off the Wall? You could spend four minutes listening to the song and answer that question yourself, or you could spend an hour and three quarters listening to the Yaxzon Jackson Boys attempt to answer it. You know which option we're going to recommend, party people, so get comfortable and click the boogie down button down below.

Ep.019 - “Get on the Floor”

The Yaxzon Jackson Podcast welcomes back C. LeMar McLean to talk about “Get on the Floor,” his favorite track from his favorite Michael Jackson album. This episode is jam-packed to the rafters, but don't worry, there are no Star Wars spoilers in attendance tonight.

Speaking of not speaking about Star Wars, James Greene, Jr.'s eBook Star Wars Ruined My Life is now out there for the masses to read.

And for more vintage LeMar, check out Breakfast in Bed, a webseries about romance and wrestling that he co-wrote and stars in.

Girl, there's a chance for chancin' tonight, so choose to chance your choice with Yaxzon Jackson.

Ep.018 - “Working Day and Night”

While you've been out partying and listening to other podcasts, Superproducer James Groove Jr. and Concertmaster Rolmajesty Hatch have been twerking day and night to bring you this episode. What will the fellas think of Michael Jackson's second original composition on the album? Will their opinions be as different as Morris Day and M. Night Shyamalan or as similar as Susan Dey and Suge Knight? Or both? Find out today... on the internet!

Speaking of the 'net, if you aren't already following Yaxzon Jackson on Twitter, you're missing out on some important polls that will likely decide the fate of humanity. The link is at the bottom of the page.

Ep.017 - “Rock With You”

MJ and QJ may have been comfortable outsourcing their songwriting duties to "Hot" Rod Temperton for this track, but Rollie and James are responsible enough to handle podcasting about it all on their own. And what a yaxzon-packed episode this is--our two hosts actually disagree about thing or two! So relax and lay back as they yax about Jack, son.

We'll be back after Thanksgiving to tackle track 3. See you then.

Ep.016 - “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”

Finally, the Yax has come bax to collect tax on these Jax trax. “Don’t Stop ‘Til Get Enough was the first single officially offered off of Off the Wall, so it seems like the logical, structurally-mandated place to begin Season 2 of our little podcast.

We’re aware of some audio issues that are present only when the episodes are streamed in a Chrome browser, but aren’t aware of how to fix it yet, so for now, either ignore those strange pops, or switch over to another browser. Of course, you can always download or listen through iTunes using links at the bottom.

Ep.014 - "Dangerous"

Put on your safety boots because we have finally reached the most dangerous track on Dangerous... "Dangerous."  The song itself isn't very dangerous, it just signals that Yaxzon Jackson has now passed into a realm of the unknown. How will we wrap up our coverage of this album? What Michael Jackson project will we dive into next? Will there be questions marks? Keep an eye on this space or find us on twitter (@yaxzonjackson) for answers.

For those keeping the faith that Yaxzon Jackson would return to a two-host format with no guests, your prayers have been answered. For those keeping the faith for another guest for Rollie and James to focus on instead of their incessant non-Michael Jackson-related patter, you can go ahead and keep keeping that faith, kid.
